Question:
Is effexor a stimulant? I am currently taking Lexapro, is effexor more like adderall or lexapro?
Answers:
Effexor is an antidepressant but if you are bipolar and have mood swings it is possible that with out depression the effexor can act as an upper and make you "high" or "manic". Make sure you talk to your Dr. if the effexor is doing the opposite of what it is made to do.
Effexor is an antidepressant as is Lexapro. Chemically they are not quite the same but they are both used to treat depression and are not considered stimulants
