Im sorta confused with things. ?


Question:
the past two years have been hard for me, socially. people can be really mean. i have been very upset at times to the point of just feeling numb and empty. recently (last month) it was hard, but this month, things are mostly better. i haven't been having any terribly days, some are bad, but not as bad as they used to be. i had convinced myself i was depressed, but im really not sure. i talked to my parents a while back,but all they did was send me to talk to someone. i hated that, so i stopped. i wouldn't want to do it again. i was almost tempted to ask my doctor the other day, but i wasn't quite sure what to say to her. i don't know if i am, have ever been, or if it is something else. im not at the point where i HAVE to do something about it, but i dont really want to live the rest of my life living like i am, not fully happy. what do you think? (sorry this was long) thank you in advance.

gee, that's a pretty tough life you're livin right now.
i was kind of like that too last year, feeling depressed, unfulfilled,lonely, etc. so i tried a few methods to help me feel better about myself and here's a few you can give a go at:
try listening to happy, uplifting music. i.e. john mayer, the fray, jack johnson, the postal service, death cab for cutie, etc. music is one of the greatest ways to get comfort, worked really well for me.
share you're feelings. talk to someone who you trust; someone who might understand. this was hard for me, i didn't really have close enough friends for this. so what i did was write in my journal.
don't criticize yourself. just try to be positive about things.
go to a vacation or something, somewhere you can forget your worries.

Well, no one can be completely satisfied with themselves. Either we are too fat or too skinny, use steriods or are weak, we have implants or are boobs are too small. And if your in between, we don't get noticed. So, the best thing to do is too just try and improve the things you can, and accept the things you can't.
Try to think of the things that have made this month better than last month. Once you are aware of them you can make sure they keep happening. Maybe you have seen certain people that you like. You may have done things that you enjoy doing.
Try to think of what makes you feel happier.
