I have anxiety and depression. It's not as bad as it was but it has stopped me from doing things. I am still a bit nervous of staying away from home like far away from home another part of the country etc in case I have any panic attacks. It's not as bad as it was.
You should talk to your Doctor and also talk to a therapist or councillor who can help you deal with your anxiety. I have been trying an alternative therapy called Emotional Freedom Technique and it has really worked for me and helped me a lot. Since using it I have been feeling a lot better. It's very good at getting rid of all kinds of negative emotions and dealing with all kinds of issues quickly. It does sound bizarre but does work. Might be something that can help you.
i have anxiety and am on meds they help
Yes breathe deeply through your nose and out of your mouth and try a remedy such as http://www.boots.com/shop/product_detail...
this is excellent for calming you down and relaxing you. Good Luck!
at 14 and female your probably having personal appearance issues, lacking self confidence, but you know what, nobody cares who you are or what you look like. humans by nature are too wrapped up in their own personal world to care about other people. your probably finding yourself more aware that people look at you or stare. this is because humans have to! they cant help it and you do the same as well. it will pass with age as you grow older and more self confident. i'm not a very good looking person but if someone stares at me i stare right back at them and scrunch my face up, that way i have the upper hand because they look away first. a small victory but it shows who is the stronger person. i'm 30ish *cough* ahem 35 years old and a strong man but i had a very traumatic thing happen to me a while back. i now take panic attacks where i run and hide if the phone rings or the door knocks. so i can understand what your going through. but hiding away doesnt help anyone. so get your ars'e out that door and enjoy your teenage years. trust me on this they dont last long.
See anxiety, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris... on page 6, and read pages 11, and 2.
yep i have for a fair while... everyday without meds...on meds only now and then.
Ummm you could try some herbal suplements.strong st johns wort? might help a little..and try punching hair or running on the spot..or distract yourself..with one of those 'make a circle of your head with one hand and make a circle round your tummy with the other at the same time' it with take your mind of it a bit and distract you.
There are several modern medications for teens along with teen counselors who can help you determine what is causing your anxiety. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself. So you get anxiety attacks. It's better to go to a doctor than be caught having one in front of all your friends. You can't hide it forever and it's not going to go away by itself. Tell your parents to take you to your doctor and let him deal with it properly.
I get anxiety attacks and nothing helped me - I tried exercise, walking, herbs and positive thinking and nothing helped but my medication. I take Ativan 2 mg just when needed - not every day - it's addictive. Good luck to you!
Yeah, a lot of us who frequent this area of YouQA.com s have problems with anxiety or panic attacks. I used to have them, until I finally went to a psychiatrist and got meds (I take Xanax by night and Klonopin by day) to prevent them.
You need to discuss these attacks with a doctor, preferably a psychiatrist. Ask your parents if they'll assist (by taking you to the doc and paying the bill). Whatever you do, don't delay; this condition (Panic Disorder) tends to get worse over time if not treated.
If by some wild chance you happen to live in central Arkansas (USA), e-mail me and I'll send you the name of a very good shrink in Little Rock.
