The Complex Trauma Agorithm
The complex trauma algorithm is a collection of the latest treatments for anxiety of tapping techniques that must be done in a specific order. This recipe has been used for over eighteen years. It is a safe and effective treatment that has no side effects. Try it yourself!
The first step is to work out how anxious you are feeling. You do this by giving your distress a rating of between 1 and 10 (10 being the highest, 1 the lowest), Make sure you write this down, because once you start tapping, your distress rate will begin to drop, and you might forget what it was before.
Use two fingers to tap the beginning of the eyebrow, right next to the bridge of your nose; give it five good taps, firm enough to put energy into the system but not enough to hurt or bruise yourself.
Tap under the eye about 2cm below the bottom of your eyeball, at the centre of the boney orbit, high on the cheek. Tap solidly, about 5 times.
Tap on the side of your chest under your arm, about 4 inches directly below your armpit on the chest wall; do this 5 times. This point is level with the nipple for men and about the centre of the bra panel under the arm for women.
You will find the "collar bone point" by taking two fingers of either hand, and running them down the centre of your throat until you reach the top of your breastbone. From this point go straight down 3cm, and then from this point go to the right or left 3cm. Tap this point five times.
Okay, now it’s time to tune into how you are feeling again, and give it a rating from 1-10. Check the number you have written down; if your rating has dropped 2 or more, go to step 7. But if it has only dropped by one or not at all, then you may be psychologically reversed, and I recommend that you perform the psychological reversal treatment below before continuing on to step 7.
These are the Nine Gamut Treatments: The gamut spot is on the back of your hand. To find it, make a fist and put the index finger of your dominant hand in the valley between your little finger and ring finger knuckles. Now, move the index finger about 2cm back toward your wrist. This is the gamut spot. Tap the gamut spot (about 3 to 5 times per second) and continue to tap while going through the following nine procedures. While you are doing this, you must be tapping that gamut spot throughout, five to ten times at each stage.
Eyes open
Eyes closed
Eyes open, move eyes down to one side, head still
Eyes open, move eyes down to opposite side, head still
Roll eyes in a circle in one direction
Roll eyes in a circle, opposite direction
Hum a few notes of a tune
Count 1 to 5 out loud
Hum a few notes of a tune
Repeat steps 2-6. Keep doing these tapping techniques latest treatments for anxiety until you get your rating down to 1. At this point, there will be no trace of the anxiety you were feeling before.
The floor to ceiling eye roll is the very last part of this treatment. You do this when your rating has reached a 2 or a 1. Tap the gamut spot on the back of your hand while keeping your head level (many people want to move their head rather than their eyes). Now, looking down at the floor, steadily rotate your eyes vertically (taking about 10 seconds) all the way up to look at the ceiling. You must tap the gamut spot constantly during the moving of the eyes.
When your having an attack move your eyes from left to right for as long as you can and it makes you forget about what was causing the attack in the first place.. It works anytime try it.

Anxiety attacks are a mystery, nobody really knows exactly what triggers them and they usually they stop as quickly as they started. You can try breathing into a paper sack, or get some tranquilizers until they decide to go away.

My wife has anxiety attacks quite often and they are pretty intense. She is now on an anti depressant that helps an extreme amount. The attacks have gone way down and she rarely, RARELY, ever has attacks anymore. She wasn't excited in the least about going on the medicine but taken a single small pill everyday is a much better alternative to have panic attacks on an almost daily basis. Another way that helped her was when she was having an attack, if I was around, I would talk to her about other subjects. I tried to make her laugh and that seemed to help a great deal as well. But your boyfriend obviously isn't around all the time, but when he is, hit him up for some small talk for a distraction. Hope this helps.
I'm definitely not an expert, but the things that helped me when I was plagued by panic attacks was to first recognize it. I went online and read up on what to expect, so that each time I was going thru it, I understood what my body was doing, it made it less frightening. I'd still be trembling, and breathing weird, and sometimes crying, but I at least felt like my head was under control from the knowledge of what my body was going thru. Also, one time, I tried distracting myself when I felt one (a really big one!) coming on. I ran up and down the block a few times, and it really helped to calm me down, and lessen the severity of the panic attack. There are prescription drugs out there that can be prescribed and taken as needed. I would also recommend talking to a professional, they can work wonders!
I guess you can start by keeping track of them like a diary write down the time place and where you were when your symptoms started even any odors you smelled. Maybe there is a pattern you don't realize. Unless you are on antianxiety medications already, look up herbal medicine and you will see many effective agents for stress and anxiety. I love chamomile tea it can't hurt you and it will relax you. Also there is Kava Kava that you should use short term. Good luck.
I have had anxiety attacks for ten years now (and I’m only 24). There is no word that can describe how terrible it feels and the havoc it can wreak in your life.
I refused to see a psychiatrist for a year after my panic attacks began. Instead, I stayed up during the night, pacing my room and running to the bathroom. I couldn’t go to school in the morning because I was either exhausted or too nervous. Eventually, I broke down and saw a psychiatrist. My anxiety followed me into his office and I darted between answering his questions and being sick in the restroom.
Now, all so many years later, I have a great relationship with my drugs. I take Paxil every day and Xanax (a powerful benzodiazepine, or anti-anxiety drug) when I need to. Thankfully, in the past year, I’ve had only one panic attack, which was quickly sated by a milligram of Xanax.
I strongly encourage you to consider seeing a psychiatrist. You might, at first, feel awkward about seeking help, but just imagine what it would be like to NOT have anxiety attacks. At the very least, a benzodiazepine (Xanax, Ativan, and Valium are excellent) would give you a way to stop the attack.
I truly hope you find the light at the end of the tunnel very soon.
If your anxiety attacks are severe, you should seek medical advice.
Eliminate smoking, gradually eliminate caffeine and decrease the sugar, especially refined sugar, in your diet. Keep track of what you eat and notice whether you have attacks after certain foods, or when you haven't eaten for a long time, etc.
Have you noticed whether your attacks are worse during the summer? Your body may not be able to handle the heat very well, especially if you are a type A person, who eats foods that heat up the body and/or you smoke. Consult an ayurvedic practitioner if you notice that your anxiety attacks are worse in the summer. They'll be able to help you plan a summer menu and other activities that will help your body discharge heat in a healthy way.
Are you interested in yoga or meditation or tai chi? These are all great things for reducing stress. They're also great for helping you to enjoy your life. I wish you the best!
