Hello,
i dont have schizophrenia myself, but i do know some people who do have it...
schizophrenia is a complex thing to live with, and it is probably very hard for you to understand what is going on sometimes too?
A person with schizophrenia experiences all sorts of things that other people dont usually experience: it can be physical sensations, such as someone touching you who isnt really there; it can be that you hear people's voices when there isnt anyone nearby; you might hear someone outside your room, but when you look, there is no one there; you might experience very strong emotions for no reason, and these emotions maybe hard to deal with; you might believe things that other people tell you are not true, and if you talk about these things, then people react to what you are saying strangely, so you learn to keep quiet about the things that you think.
i would suggest that your boyfriend tries to read a bit about it on the internet, or get a book about it...
maybe if its too hard to talk to your boyfriend about, then maybe you could write him a letter... but that's only if you feel comfortable doing it.
You could explain to him that some things are too hard to talk about and that you love him because he supports and loves you... and that you appreciate it when he stands by you when times are hard.
As far as i'm aware, different people with shizophrenia experience different types of feelings, emotions and sensations.
Is there anything that helps you when your medication doesnt work? You could tell your boyfriend about what he could do at those times to help you most.
All the best,
take care,

There are generally three moods. Two could be generally be said of laziness. One is the real thing, where things are believed to be not real.
I do...
No, you don't!
I do too have it.
We DON't have it and stop telling people we do.
I don't know about you, but I DO too have it.
What are you talking about, NO WE DON'T!
Do too!
Nut-uh!
DO TOO!
I'm tell'in!

I *think* I could be schizotypal ( a very mild kind of schizophrenia )... I have never hallucinated but I get strange ideas (much to the confusion of other people)
first, let him and others know it is NOT what people think it is, most people think it is a multiple personality disorder
next, know yourself. give little examples (share whatever feels right) about what you've done, why you know it wasn't normal, and how it doesn't define you
it's hard to talk about it because you don't feel comfortable with it yourself.. and that's normal
above all, you are not just a schizophrenic. You are a normal person, too. You love normal things. Embrace things that you two can share and don't worry so much about the problem.
I don't know too much about it but you can have him check various resources on the web, your local library or even your doctor. You might try the following link

You do deserve the help, I just wish I knew more to help. Good luck!
