Isn't there a disorder caused by drinking that...?
Question:
Answers:
Yes. It's called ALCOHOLISM.
Drinking absolutely changes the drinker's personality. And it can be bad to good, good to bad. Some people are in violent rages when they need a drink and when they get one, they calm down, smile, laugh. Some are calm and cool..then they take a drink and it turns them into a monster. They say and do things that they NEVER do, yell, kick, drive, abusive to family members, etc. When the alcohol wears off, they are calm and cool again. It's horrible. My mother became angry when she drank--and that was every day. She could fly into a rage over nothing and then LOOK OUT.
If you know someone like this, I suggest Al-Anon for you and AA for them---if the want help.

NO, however, there is an alcohol-induced psychosis. Yet this is different from a dissociative disorder. Certainly, the effects of alcohol may alter a person's personality, but it is not a diagnosable illness.
