Should I take Effexor XR in the morning or at night?

Question:
I want it to help me lose weight. I take it for other reasons, but Id like it to help with some weight loss as well.

Answers:
EFFEXOR XR should be taken as a single dose with food at about the same time every day, either in the morning or evening
you certainly wont lose weight on this..in fact you will gain..
i was on this...i gained so much weight that it took me 12 mnths to walk it off...then coming off this drug was a nightmare...like hell of earth..im sorry..but its the truth.
Effexor makes your sex drive non existent, if you are in a relationship, don't take it.
I hav 2 agree with Sheru - U'll gain de-luxe! But if u do hav 2 take it 4 other reasons I wud recommend @ nite till ur system is use 2 it 2 eliminate the after effects & groggieness during the day. Good Luck!
It's unlikely that Effexor XR will help with weight loss. It's intended to alleviate depression. There's a slight possibility it may cause some weight gain. It dosen't matter when you take it as long as it's the same time each day. And be sure to take it with food.
Like Chris said, in the morning or in the evening. Your doctor or pharmacist should have input on which is best for you. You don't want any medication interactions.
I have been on Efexor before. Several of the answers are correct. Take same time every day with food. If you are having side affects such as drowsiness, then take it before you go to sleep. Also, I have never heard it used as a way to lose weight either!
