This will be difficult but they will be proud you came to them and you are doing a very brave thing that could save your life. Just calmly tell them you would like to talk to them together alone if you have siblings, definitely without them around unless you want their support too. Start off by explaining that coming to them is hard in and of itself and you need their support not lectures and you want therapy and to need to know that they are behind you 100 % and then after they agree tell them. What you are acknowledging is great. You should be very proud of yourself. I cut for about 17 years and I wish I had done this. Good luck to you.
Do you need to have a physical before school starts? Maybe you can bring it up then. Regardless of when and how, it needs to be addressed. You need professional help. At least you do realize that this is a problem - that is the first step.
just sit them down and slowly explain to them what you r doing to yourself and why. don't forget to tell them why! they should understand and try to help. if they don't get counseling.
i JUST TOOK 8 PERCOCETS (pain killers) I will be gone soon.
The fact that you're asking for help is great. Telling your parents may be difficult, but there's ways to do it. One way is you could just directly say it to them when you're alone with them. Or you could just tell one of them. Or if you're not comfortable talking, then write them a note. (just know that once they read it that they will probably rush right to your room or whereever you are to see if you're okay). and another option is to talk to another adult about it first, like a teacher, school counselor, or youth pastor. see what they think and see if maybe they can be there when you tell your parents. good luck.
