Depression.?
Question:
Answers:
Most colleges have a health center or a counseling center, with free help. See if you can have a few free sessions, just to get some perspective on things. Otherwise, church ministers can sometimes help, or join the Yahoo! Groups. They have nice people who can give you day-to-day support, for whatever you're feeling!
Things will get better gorgeous. Just hang in there :)
when i was depressed i lost my appetite, i couldn't express emotion completely, and i found it impossible to be happy!
if you have any of these symptoms report to the DR. ASAP!
you might have: GAD (general anxiety disorder)
p.s i know how stressful school is! it sucks at times.
Take up jogging or bicycling. (it's like a mini-vacation) When you get excercise you wear yourself and get endorphines flowing. You'll feel better and sleep better. Also jogging or bicycling is better than going to a gym because you get fresh air and more solitude (for better thinking) Even if you have a couple dumbells at home and use them, it will help relieve the stress that causes depression.
I believe the last answer has really good advice. Go to a health professional on Campus, to your minister or other religious professional. If you are 18 yrs old, perhaps you can get a student loan and move onto the campus where you are going to school. That way you would be away from the stress your family is going through. I realize it is difficult to do anything when you are depressed because I have been there. Please sit down and make yourself a list of different things YOU could do to help yourself. No matter how fr out it is, write it on your list! Write down at least 20 things, like I said no matter how silly they may seem. The YOU need to take some action! Choose one and follow through with it. If that doesn't work, it is up to you to try another. Please, give it a try!! Just trying will help you a lot!!
