Afraid of Heights?
Question:

The first reply nailed it, in my opinion. In my case, I never had any fear of heights at all, and in fact was excited by them. I always loved the window seat on a plane, enjoyed the view from tall buildings, and climbing trees in my neighborhood.
The place where I have a problem is when I don't feel as though I'm in complete control. I know that sounds silly, I mean, I wasn't the one flying the plane, and people fall out of trees all the time, but I never doubted the pilot, and felt in control while holding the branches.
But you put me on the top of a building that has no railings, and I won't get within 10 feet of the edge. Ladders didn't used to bother me, but as a kid, I never had a reason to climb them very high. These days, when I sometimes have to use a ladder to reach the roof of a two story house, I damn near need a diaper if a breeze blows while I'm on it.
You seem to be the complete opposite. Perhaps you're afraid of depths. lol.
My simple answer to the title of this question would be "Not when I'm on the ground."
:)
No. The people I know that are afraid of heights are actually opposite than what you describe. They are somewhat apprehensive about say going up to a hotel room that is on an open balcony on the 24th floor, but once they get out of the elevator, they can't move beyond the wall on the other side of the balcony. They have the feeling that maybe this time they will be OK and they find they are not, they need to return to the ground or go into the apartment. I have no iea where the tingling sensation comes from.
you might get that just because you're nervous. I know, it happens to me too.
I can't stand heights either. However, years ago, when I was the sole civilian out with a team of army specialists, they'd climb hills, small mountains and other horrendous geographical regions. You know, once I got to the top, I had this tremendous feeling of accomplishment (sans the scrapes, cuts, bruises) and it wasn't so bad climbing back down. Thinking about it doesn't bother me, getting there does.
Tingling, no. But alot of folks like you have an aversion to heights.
I strongly advise you to see a psychologist because you may have had some trauma as a young child that possibly had to do with hight .
my mom is afarid of heights when she is there an bservation deck mt or even high theater balcony she thibks it stems back to a fall at a ski lodge. I get nervous if i take regular picture when i have to close 1 eye in such a high space
