How do I help my wife deal with loosing a job becouse of marijuana.?
Question:
Answers:
Light up another joint and "don't worry, be happy"!!
Stop smoking. Apply for a new job. Take the drug test. Pass. Lesson learned.
tell her to stop doing it
You help her eliminate marijuana from her life so she can pass her next drug test. I used marijuana in college, but once "real life" set in and I needed to get a job, I re-prioritized and quit the weed. It's just something she has to do if she wants to work.
I just hope you both realize that smoking a blunt won't make what happened go away. The healthy thing to do would be to accept it, learn from it, and go on from there.Good luck.
first GET HER OFF MARIJUANA!!!!
then help her deal with making resumes and getting back into the hunt
If she wants a job that has drug testing, she's going to have to give it up.
Realisticaly, there is no positive spin on marijuana. Its highly addictive, changes your perceptions of reality, is linked to increased chances of schizophrenia in certain individuals, and to top it all off, its illegal!
You guys need to prioritize your lifes, and decide whats more important, drugs or living your lives?
By all means, stay by your wife and support her, but supporting her isnt handing her the lighter...
Good luck!
I've seen so many good & very intelligent people working in low paying jobs because a larger company may pop a pee test on them. She needs to figure out what is more important in her life...drugs or a career. Drugs aren't going to give her a retirement. Drugs aren't going to give her a pension. And god forbid if you have children and they start smoking it. Would you want them to have that kind of life? I would be devastated if I found my children doing any kind of drug. She really needs to balance out what she wants in life by making 2 columns on a piece of paper: Where I'm at now & the other column: Where I want to be:
Where I'm at now should include: possibility of a criminal conviction for possession of cannabis & or paraphenelia, possible cancer at any point in life, lost job...etc.
Once she compares the two columns, she'll see which direction to go, and it won't be the first column. Give her plenty of support as she'll need it.
