Cymbalta - real answers.?

Question:
Anyone had side effects? Real people only - no doctors please, unless you have taken the medicine yourself.

Answers:
hey. im on cymbalta for depression. i started taking it about 2 years ago. the first few weeks i was a wreck. the side effects for me were dizziness, nausea, and fatigue. i talked to my psych about it and told him i wanted to take it at night. so now i take one 60mg pill every night before bed. i never feel the side effects anymore. also, don't quit cold turkey!! i have done that a few times or i have ran out of meds and it's not a pretty site. once u are on it for a long amount of time, ur body becomes dependent on it, literally. if u wanna know more just ask me, im open about it. i have to say it works for me for depression, very well. i dont know about any other disorders/diseases though. if u dont like it talk to ur doctor to ease u on to another pill.
I just came off Cymbalta and went back on Prozac. Cymbalta and I did not get along. I got more depressed along with aggressive. It made be so agitated I couldn't sit still. If you have not started it yet you may do well with it. If you are on it now and are having problems you need to see your doctor. Don't "cold turkey" with this med-you have to be tapered off of it. Anyway I hope I was some help.
I took Cymbalta for a long time. First and foremost, I had Grade 3 liver damage from taking Cymbalta and then about 2 weeks later the FDA issued a warning about an increased risk of liver problems with the drug.
There was also the increased sweating, and the waking. I would wake up in the middle of the night for no reason and then fall back asleep.
I could tolerate the sweating and the waking up, but the liver damage was a no go. Make sure your doctor tests your liver enzymes every once in awhile.
I have had a few side effects, I can't sleep at night and crave food, when i take it during the day i get diarrhea and loss of appetite, I cannot concentrate. As for my mood, I don't feel like I feel anything anymore. I still get a weird feeling of anxiety in my chest, but I have less migraines. Good luck.
