Speaking in front of 600 people. stage freight??!!?

I try to look over the crowd when I'm speaking to a large group. If it's theater seating, find a spot on an isle or stairwell to stare at. Either way, it looks like your attention is on the crowd when it's really just near them to make you look engaged.
If you get in 'the zone' when you speak, you probably won't even notice where you are. That happens to me most of the time. I'm a good public speaker when I switch to my automatic mode and just do my presentation. My focus is entirely on what I'm doing. I couldn't care less about how many or who is watching me.
The most important thing to do is prepare. Know your content inside and out. They are there to learn something from you. They are not there to make fun of you. If they ask you questions, be prepared for whatever they might throw at you. Try to think on your feet and use what you know. You will probably know more about the subject than anyone else in the room. Hard questions can be thought through on the spot, in my experience.
Have fun and be confident.
Go to the hospital tonight and tell them you are having panic attacks and you have to speak tomorrow. They will give you something until you see your regular doctor.
If they wont, pretend everyone in the auditorium is naked, this is a great technique which will help take your mind of your stage fright.
Think of a time when you were really confident.
Really get into it and allow every feeling you felt then to flow through you.
Imagine yourself giving your speech with the same confidence you had then. Really let the feeling flow through as it did before. Take three deep breaths.
When you are particularly anxious you tend to hold your breath. So remember to take a few good breaths before you go on stage.
Then remind yourself about the confidence you felt in practice. And remember to pause every so often to take a deep breath.
You will do well.
