Does anyone else remember things from when they were 3 or 4?

when I was younger my memory of that age was more vivid, but the older I get the more I forget. But I do have very vivid memories of several things: the time I snuck food out of the fridge in the middle of the night and encountered a shadowed silouhette in the living room (eek!)(I was only 3 then, and such a stinker); an owl that had died in a tree and was completely wrapped in a spiders web; how I refused to walk on the floor of my room when I was 4 - I hopped from furniture to furniture and jumped to make it over the door jam cause monsters were under my bed... lol I also remember a pink crochet blanket my mom used to wrap me in when I was a baby. Little things, snippets of scenes; like a really fuzzy memory of a farmer's market, and being surrounded by spanish speaking women - or my grandmother's hair against my face as she held me - or the first time I tasted a honey suckle flower (3!)... Memory is a blessed thing - hold on to it and don't worry if it is "unusual"!
I do. And I know of other people that do also.
I think it's odd when they don't.
I vividly recall my first birthday and have described it to my mother who was astounded how accurate my memories were.

I too have vivid memories from my very young years. My daughter has no such memories. I have never understood this.

when i read your question i tried alot to remmeber the oldest thing that is still in my memory and this thing was when i am 5 years old. before that i can't remmeber.
My earliest vivid memory was an experience I had at 18 months. I described the event and the people involved to my mom, who was also there. she was 24 at the time.

I remember things that my parents say never happened!! I remember visiting my mom at a restaurant she worked at, but guess what ?? she was still pregnant with me!! other than that my memories are flighty and inconsistant
Yes, I have a very vivid memory of being in my cot when I was a baby, I told my mum and she said that the cot was exactly where it was in my memory.
I have several vivid memories from my early childhood. Perhaps this is because I am very visually/spatially oriented.
One of my earliest memories comes from a time before I could speak. I can clearly recall my surroundings and that my grandmother was there while I sat in a baby chair. I also remember that I wanted to communicate something but because I lacked the skills to do so I simply made some noise and cried in frustration. Lots of confusion at that age lol.
I do. I remember the layout of my grand parants house and they passed away when I was 2. I suprised my family when I descriped it. As there was no photos. But that is just oe of many memories from early chidhood.
I have more difficulty remembering thigs from the ages of 7 to 11.
I remember a lot, but it is in small sections, like 10 frames or so of a movie. Oddly I don't remeber what my mother looked like or really anything about her. I remember neighbors, cousins, siblings, and grandparents, but nothing about her. Since we haven't spoken in 12 years I supposed it is meant to be that way.

yes i can remember when i was 2 living in the house we lived in then, my mother thought i was winding her up when i said i could remember, until i told her the bathroom was down stairs, there was no carpet on the stairs and next door was an empty plot being built on.
i can remember my first day in school, most of my friends who attended the same school at the same time as me cant remember anything about the infants.
omg do I remember a particular thing when I was four the reason being I had a nasty head wound ( balancing a chair on 2 legs instead of 4 fell backwards and hit the door step) there was blood everywhere yuk
i don't really recall everything that had happened when i was 3 or 4... i can remember some important things like special events (b-days, festival, new year family reunion, etc..) i can't really remember them in details though.
i remember when i was about one and i was at my grandma's house on Christmas. There were red and white doulies (i cant spell it but pronounce it {doy-lees}) The room was half dark and half light. I also remember when i was two when my mom put some brown playdough or a chestnut in my diaper and she told me to "go tell daddy and i told him and my dad was in the shower and my mom burst out laughing. I even remember when i was two when i was playing hide and seek with my brother,sister, and my cousins
at my grandma's house and i hid in the tv stand and i was found what seemed like forever and then came downstairs and ate rice crispies with bananas in it with a bit of sugar. I even remember when i was one or two maybe when i always escaped from my crib and watched tv (either power rangers or the simpsons) with my brother and sister and my sister was eating ice cream. And every time i escaped my crib my sister would get mad at me and say "MOM! She's out of the crib again!!" And my mom would tell my sister to put me in my (yellow and green and white )crib. and i escaped about six times or maybe seven.
yes approx 2 yearsplaying on porch at grandparents house. shopping with grandpa , buying red shoes.
remember 2 years old , grandpa's funeral. being told what i was going to wear and did not want to wear it. riding in limosine. putting rose in casket.
2 1/2 , when sister was born. did not like her or sharing a room.
2 1/2 to 3 years, parents fighting serious kind of fighting. remember crying about it / not understanding /
I though I was alone in this world. I remember learning to
walk. It was from one window and across the corner of the
room to another window. It was long ago and the glass was
kind of wavy. There were chickens in the yard and when I
bounced up and down, the chickens appeared to be jumping
up and down because of the old wavy class. When everyone
laughed they though I was just having fun but if they could
have seen what those crazy chickens were doing they would
have really cracked up. Thanks for reminding me.
i remember certain details of things..its really strange i remember something from when i was 2 i remember my dad dropped me off at my aunts house for a visit and i was walking around the house saying daddy because i couldn't find him.

me and lotsa peopl do. not unsusual. long ago i could remember very much wwhen i was two and snippets before that. pictures have proven it. i was born in 1942 and the war was a powerful force in our society. on the radio, people talked, newsreels at movies. soldiers, sailors everwhee. excitment. i rememember so much. trust me.
