What does it mean to be alive in this context?

Answers:
Sounds like, "The toe of the giant theory", we used to talk about when we were all getting high. What if we are all just germs or something, and a little antiseptic will just wipe us all out. Or what if we are just someone's dream and when they wake up we'll all just die. In this context, I'd say, "Don't bogart the joint!"
