Survivors guilt?

Question:
what is survivors guilt?
i know its a mental condition but can yo have survivors guilt if someone you love dying from a disease

Answers:
Survivors guilt is when you and another person were in the same traumatic ordeal and the other person dies but you survive. And feel guilt because you lived. Such as you and a friend were in a fire he died but you lived. I believe that you can feel survivors guilt from a loved on dying from a disease it just depends on the disease and the situation. I hope this helps you.
Typically the survivor and the deceased go through the same experience, such as a car wreck, and while one survives the other doesn't.

I think you could have survivor's guilt if you are attached to each other and one gets a disease while the other doesn't.
I think the word you want is empathy. Feeling someone else's pain.

I know that does not help you get over it.

You may be already be grieving for the loss you expect.

Just make the other person as comfortable as you can when you see them. And try to cheer them up.
