Help!!!?

This is going to sound really weird, but I have an addiction to eating paper, and I dont think its good for me. I dont even like the way it tastes, but I eat it anyway. I tried to stop alot of times, but I can never stick with it. What should I do. Dont say I'm sick and discusting, because I allready know that. Is there anything I can do.

Substitute the paper for some food like a carrot.
How about chewing some gum? You have equated
the act of chewing paper to a stress reliever. You just need to become aware of what is going on around you prior to sticking some paper in your
mouth. Perhaps you could ween yourself off of
the paper by using a stress ball to squeeze whenever the urge to chew paper comes over you.
I am going to guess that paper itself is not addictive. I suspect you probably have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). You have a compulsion to eat paper. You cannot control these compulsions without help. Talk to a doctor. There are medications that help with OCD. Some behavior therapy will help you learn to control these compulsions.

If you are being serious, you are not disgusting. You have an issue, plain and simple. If you have good insurance, see your primary care physician and ask to be referred to someone. If you don't have insurance, or don't have a good one, I would research it online. You'd be amazed to see how many people share your issue, and there could even be support groups.
im being serious when i say this, i have herad of a mental disease like that, i read about the 5 wierdest conditions, one was eating paper, some other one was seeing things get bigger then smaller, and there were some other ones.it's called pica

Probably paper has a lot of chemicals in it that are horrible for you - like chlorine (bleach). Probably they don't use mercury any more in the manufacturing process, but the other bad chemicals are produced. Until you can find a way to stop your paper eating habit, try please to switch to organic, unbleached paper. Go talk to a health food store. You don't have to tell them you eat it. Just tell them you want chemical-free organic paper, since you suspect a family member has a sensitivity. Read the section about Pica and the other reference and get some fiber, iron and zinc into your diet.

Meanwhile, if it is the texture that attracts you, you might try something like fruit leather (also available at your health food store.)

Anyways try to stop consuming paper if you can, it couldn't be healthy--nice alternative is rice cakes.
