David, I struggled with anxiety. First, if you're in the throws of an attack or if you can feel one coming on, get your mind on something else. Pick up the phone and call a friend or family member. Talk about something in their life and try to focus on that. If it's a bad one, unfortunately you'll have to ride it out. When you're ok, go see a doctor. If it gets unbearable, get to an Emergency Room. They can give you meds that will stop it. Good luck, it sucks but you can overcome these.
im 13 years old and have anxiety. it rolled into depression and then i was hospitalized for being suicidal. it really does suck. my first suggestion would be to get started on medications. im on zoloft 100mg and that helps alot. you may also want to look into sleeping pills if u cant get to sleep very easily because that is also a big part of anxiety and depression
You should go to a therapist. I get like that sometimes, and im only 17, so I guess I should see a therapist too lol
start with MD there maybe a physical aspect
seek mental heath care
do your homework
some will mess you up rather than help
i, also, have problems with anxiety and nervous tension and after 50 + years, i found that, tea alleviates these symptoms and help me relax. try this:
first, buy a box of Lipton's regular black tea in it's loose form,(DO NOT USE TEA BAGS). you can find this at any store that carries middle-eastern or east-asian groceries. in your cup, add one measured teaspoon, then add one measured cup of boiling water. do not add sugar, honey or ANY type of sweetener. wait until it cools down enough to drink it, but don't let it get too cool. make it a practice to drink tea as opposed to coffee, in fact, cut coffee out of your diet completely. diet plays an extremely important role in how we feel try eating foods that are specified as organic. and don't be fooled by the word "natural" on food products. this word means nothing in re guards to how healthy the food is. start looking into websites that endorse wholesome foods and educate the general public about health. try: Dr. gary null, kevin trudeau, or Dr. mercola.
there are better alternatives to medication. drugs end up compounding the problem in the long run, and you run the risk of serious side-effects (or affects, i always get those two word confused-smile)
lol
p.s. try to cut out ANY type of sugar if use it. try organic honey if you must use a sweetener.
nuff said.
