Sleep Conversations?

Question:
My friend and I recently took a trip together. We had been couped up in a hotel for a week and we were getting on each others nerves. We noticed after we had some sleep that we felt better. It was almost like we hadn't seen each other in a long time. A friend came and stayed with us in the hotel. We (my friend and I) had a bit of an arguement and we didn't talk it out. We felt better in the morning, as usual. Our friend then told us we had had a conversation in our sleep. We talked out the problem. She said it was completly audible. We had worked it out. Neither of us remember it. We felt completly rested. So we set up a tape recorder and found we talk often in our sleep. Sometimes just conversations, you know; just to talk, other times we will talk about something that is wrong with one of us and the other will reassure the one with the issue. We don't talk about anything we normally wouldn't while conscious. We just...talk.
What in the world is up with that? Is that unusual?

Answers:
