and study then when I was younger..is this really true or just in my head?? and what can I do about it?? PS my memory is terrible when I suffer from stress and unfortunately I am easily stressed..

Answers:
Been there. It is like bike riding. It will pop out. You'll never forget things you have learned. I started my second masters when I was 40 and I remembered everything. At this age with severe OCD I am GPA 4.
Go for it. Good luck.
swetie play grand theft auto kill a cuple people in it then u should remember stuff fine
There's your problem. Eliminate the drama from your life or you will fail miserably at college.
Change your diet. Most if not all disease including aging are caused by bad diets. Sodas contain at least 12 teaspoons of sugar each and diet sodas contain no sugar, just chemical. If possible cut out red meat and pork. Eat more fresh vegetables in salads or stir-fried in extra virgin olive oil with tofu. Eat more fresh fruits. Cut salt out altogether. Do not eat any junk foods that have extra salt or sugars. Drink organic fruit juices when possible. Drink pure water at least 6 to 8 bottles every day and walk. Walk at least 2 miles every day either before or after school or work. At the end of thirty days you will find you have lost up to thirty pounds, your memory will improve immensely and your energy and stamina are off the charts from what you remember as a kid. I have done this and I cannot remember when I felt so good. Try it for thirty days. Stress and other distractions will pretty much disappear on their own when you discover how much better you feel.
As people get older, their memories can deteriorate. I suggest you look online for some memory games to help get your mind in shape. Also, it may be harder to sit down and study simply because you've gotten out of the habit, or you may have some anxiety interfering with your concentration. Try talking to someone at your college about getting a tutor--lots of adult students get one to ease their transition back into school. Your school likely offers free tutoring for most subjects.
You are not old enough for your memory to be failing. BUT, it is like a lot of skills...sharper when you are using it. If you haven't had to do studies in a while it can take a little time for things to get easier, but they should.

My hubby graduated HS and didn't start college until 12 years later. The first few semesters he struggled. He got good grades, but it was time consuming and hard. However, he has a 4.0 and now he is a lot more efficient altogether.

I remembering seeing a man on Jeopardy! who got his law degree at 85 years old. I got my second Masters degree at age 41, while working, had a kid, got re-married, and part of the time (last several months) I was pregnant!

If you want it badly enough, somehow you make it work.
