Any psychiatrists/therapist that can help with emotional claustrophobia?
Question:
My symptoms are:
Putting up "walls" around people.
Pushing people away then wanting them back again.
Not wanting to talk about my feelings.
Not wanting to deal with my feelings.
That's all I can think about for now...Any other help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

What you are describing is not so uncommon, and is very tough to live with. There will be reasons for this rooted in the way you dealt with things that were difficult in your childhood. Precisely because it is a relational issue, this is not something to deal with by e-mail. You will be much more likely to achieve some alleviation of these symptoms through one-to-one psychotherapy. Any properly trained psychotherapist should be able to work with this, but you might find that someone whose training is psychoanalytic, psychodynamic or psychosynthesis is most able to offer you the help you are looking for.
