Go see your psychiatrist or therapist. You may need tranquillizers like me.
I was robbed at gun point and locked in a freezer when I was 17 and I'm still dealing with PTSD with confined places and other random things that seem to set it off. So I just pop a tranquilizer and it's all much better!
You need to talk to your GP and they'll probably refer you to a specialist! I had to talk to a Trauma specialist a couple years back and they are just amazing... so much so that I went inot it for a little while myself
Too little info to do much with. but as in any ptsd/trauma.the first thing you need to do is "process" it...talk it thru."normalize" your feeling as is done in trauma debriefing, etc.then uncover what lies you believe about yourself and replace them with truth.therapy, EMDR...not knowing what your history of trauma or therapy, meds, etc is.
Propranolol has shown some good results if given within probably 24 hours or traums, and possibly longer.and maybe if given during a flashback, panic attack/pictures, etc. I'm doing a brief trial with not good results yet...but mine are old traumas over many years
I take diazepam but it's not perhaps the best med to take for PTSD. I have PTSD as well with constant nightmares and flashbacks. Please e-mail me if you find a good specific med to take for this!
Read a few books about what it was like in wartime, or being on the dole, or having surgery before anaesthetics and then ask yourself why you think you have a problem.
I also suffer from PTSD. Ask your therapist about EMDR theapy (Eye Movement Desenisation and Reprocessing). I'm on a EMDR "holiday" at the moment but will be restarting. It works by reducing the distress felt by certain memories. There are several differnt ways that its done, by following a light with your eyes, by tapping on alternate hands or by headphones and a beep in each ear. It sounds like hocus pocus but it works.

There is also a tablet called Prasozin (Hypovase) that you take at night, it stops nightmares. It is licensed for PTSD sufferers.
Anxiety is usually the biggest manifestation of trauma, treat that and you will find you are half way there. Therapy will get you through the rest. I still periodically have bouts of anxiety that requires medication, but not for long. Once that is removed, talking really does help to normalize things for you.
good luck and best wishes, it can be hard, I know
