Question:
Why is it I've always been so self consious and had kind of low self-esteem until one year after I got married. I suddenly feel beautiful and don't really care about what others think. Was it the marriage that gave me confidence? Has this happen to any married women out there.
Answers:
Things that happen to you do not give you self-esteem.
How you think about yourself, how you see yourself will give you confidence.
The only thing I worry about is that you may be relying on your marriage and your new spouse to bolster your self-image.
It's almost as if you are saying, "It's us against them, now honey"
You may want to try to understand how you are thinking right now, so when the inevitable rough patches arrive you will be able to maintain your self-image.
