How do i know if i'm deppressed?

Question:
I read this article in a magazine about depression and it had a little quiz where if you answered yes to any of the questions you are most likely depressed and should see a doctor. i'm not sure what to do...how do i know if this is right? am i depressed?

Answers:
The magazine only said that you were most likely depressed. It didn't say you were depressed. Here are some of the symptoms.
1. You have lost the interest in activities you used to enjoy.
2. Your appetitle is not good.
3. You don't feel like getting out of bed in the morning.
4. You're constantly worried.
5. You can't concentrate.
In my opinion (I don't know), you wouldn't have had the urge to pose this question if you were depressed.
When you don't do your hair or put on make up. Oh, and all of the ice cream's gone and you don't have roomate.
You know your depressed when you lose interest in the things you used to love so much.Start by forcing yourself to do some sort of physical exercise everyday. This releases a happy pill called endorphins. Good Luck.
All answers below are good answers. All I can add is that I would say that if you are depressed when you can find no reason for the depression when everything else around you is going good, then I would say that you're depressed. Depression requires medical treatment. It is NOT as easy as thinking positive.
