Can i keep living a normal life?
Question:
can i still live a normal life?
Answers:
One thing in your post caught my attention- that sometimes you find yourself somewhere and don't remember how you got there. That actually can be a sign of multiple personality and not schizophrenia. (an alter personality has been out, and you don't remember it taking you to that place) Do you ever find things you can't remember buying or getting? Do people say you promised them something, or you did something and you don't remember? Do the voices sound like they are in your head, or coming from outside? If they sound like they are on the inside, that could be another sign of multiple personality.
I could be totally off-the-wall, but I'm saying this because multiple personality is often misdiagnosed as schizophrenia (because of the voices). And there's no point in spending years getting the wrong therapy...
If you suspect you might be multiple, I'd suggest seeing a therapist who specializes in dissociative disorders for diagnostic testing.
first get professional help
situations can get better when controlled
speak with a caregiver on just how to get into a "normal" routine
I think you are actually living a pretty normal life. It is soooo good of you getting good grades. I think that you can still live a pretty normal life if you get the proper treatment. What medicines are you taking?
You'll need to speak to your doctor about that, as every individual is different. I do know that there are medications for schitzophrenia, and if yours is mild, there's chances for a relatively normal life.
Sure as long as you still get good grades this means that there is no problem with your logic. Getting very angry is not a problem. I get so angry and I swear at every body and desrtoy things around me but I don't have any mental problem. Don't worry. Just relax
yeah. Dont act differently just cause you were diagnosed with something. Act like you did before you knew you had it, so pretty much just lead a happy life and make the best of it.
If you were diagnosed then you went to a dr.I assume you were put on meds.Don't go off them. You'll think you're better, you'll go off the meds.& get worse.GOOD LUCK.
Just make sure you stay on your meds and find people who can understand your situation and the behavioral issues associated with your diagnosis. My husband and I have a friend who also was diagnosed w/ schizophrenia and like all people he has his good and bad days (just in a different way). It's a tough road but finding a way to surround yourself with people who can handle the situation will definitely help. Most important thing for you to know in your situation is above and beyond anything you DO NOT EVER want to be in a state institution so make sure nothing happens to get you there.
I think you can live a normal life on medication.
