Care Plan Approach - CPA - how often should this be reviewed?
Question:
Answers:
A Care Programme Approach meeting should be held every 3 - 6 months depending on your diagnosis, presentation and management. The time betwen each meeting is established by the meeting before when another date for the next CPA is usually set. The CPA co-ordinator usually a CPN or social worker is in-charge of setting the date and co-ordinating the meeting. However, because of a shortage of psychiatrists and demand on mental health professionals time then frequent CPAs (every 3 months) is becoming rare.
Depends on where you are and what you have. I have gone as long as a year and as little as 3 mos. Depends on whether I seem to be improving or getting worse or just stable (I wish)
i work in a care home for the eldely, and we have to reveiw every 6 months.
I generally have a CPA review every six months when things are running smoothly. I have had to wait a year for one once though.
I believe that you are supposed to have at least one per year.
