Can i get on disability if I have these symptoms and will they give me a doctor?

I am on disability with Social Security for PTSD. I can tell you the main reason I got it was the "extraorinary" lenghts I went to for a long time.trying to find help, exhausting all my resources trying to get "better", including many many 4 hours trips to a therapist over a period of several years. I'm sure a big point was having a therapist telling SS that I couldn't work without retraining, and that was questionable given my symptoms. The Psch. SS sent me to apparenty concurred with the therapist and the diagnosis. Nobody else I've talked to got the disability the first time.so think this is all important. If you have as many medical, mental Pro's on your side as you can, and have given it all you got.you have a chance.
Depends on how bad your symptoms are. Most people can be employed once they are on medications.
That is a huge list! They say if you can push a button or sit at a desk your not disabled. My sister was in a car crash that killed off a lot of her brain and she walks on the top of her toes from being crippled and she was never able to get it. I think if your faking you have a much better chance!
You have to be evaluated by their doctors. I don't know if you need your own doctors information or not?
If you are currently working for a company that has disability benefits -- each insurance has their own rules and requirements.
If you are looking at Social Security disability - you first need to find and pay for your own Dr. and your own testing, unless possibly Vocational Rehabilitation, or other agency will provide diagnosis and testing. Chances are, your claim will be denied the first or second time through. You may do a little better if you have a private disability lawyer see that you have filed all the paperwork by necessary dates, and he can also work with you, arranging for witnesses if your case goes to hearing.
My case was denied on the final appeal, after 18 months of the application process.
With Social Security, unless you are younger than 18, you will have to have worked a minimum number of "quarters" (3 months X 4 quarters = 1 yr.) to have earned your right to disability benefits.
