Because the man she fell for was in a plot with her sister to murder ther mother for the millions she had left the sisters.
The plot came out when she accidently heard them discussing it over the phone. They were also discussing their new plan to kill her using the same undetectable poison.
She turned the tables and killed them both setting it up to look like a car accident, by cutting the break line to her sister's car when she knew they would be traveling together
down the steep path from their mother's mansion. Hows that?(Smile)

She thinks that maybe the guy is a distant friend of the family or something and kills her sister in hopes to see him again.
so he would show up at the funeral and she would see him him again!
