Question:
I am going to move back to the city i grew up in on my own to study at uni next year.the thing is one of my good friends has assumed shes going to be flatting with me (we jokd about this when we were younger) but the thing is shes a bit of a self indulgent self pitying types when she wants to be (i know she will behave like this if im living with her) and i dont think its healthy that shes living with me and indulging in her behaviour. Also i am a germophobe and dont want any other people living in my house when i havent been watching them.especially if they get sick. But im not sure how to say all this too her without her thinking i think shes dirty or a pain to live with or something. as i love hanging out with her but i dont think its a good idea too live with her. Im quite an anti social person and prefer to live in my own space.how should i try tp explain this without upsetting her??
Thanks!
Answers:
start out with a small apartment, like a 1 bed or effeciency, maybe live somewhere thats inconvenient for her. tell her youd like to hang out but want your own space because youve grown to be a more private person. let her wallow in her self pity, she'll get over it. if shes your friend, she will respect your privacy and your decision
