What is stage 2 bi-polar disease?

Question:
I did not know there were different stages, also, what are the other stages and the severity?

Answers:
There are no "stages".

There are 2 forms of bipolar illness, however.

Bipolar I is the classic form, which includes manic episodes as well as episodes of major depression.

Bipolar II differs from Bipolar I only in that the non-depressed episodes are hypomanic (i.e., not as severe as a manic epsidoe - same types of symptoms as mania - just not as pronounced).
