Anyone else in the UK with S.A.D. had their winter blues kick in early?

Question:
The dreary weather, the lack of sunshine - any other Brits with Seasonal Affective Disorder come out with their usual symptoms of depression, mood swings, lethargy and craving for certain foods, in spite of the fact that it's July?

Answers:
Oddly enough I had just blogged about this on myspace.
I have never suffered from S.A.D before (or not recognized that I had), but this summer's weather has caused me to suffer from depression-like symptoms, although it could be a mixture of that and domestic matters. :-(
Yes... but then again the fact i've started working nights is apparently also a huge factor.. Time to go get my happy pills.

It does seem a bit strange though. I thought it was just adjusting to a new work pattern but i realized all my symptoms are there. I just hadn't associated them with it..
i don't know if i have this S.A.D. but i certainly feel like it! i just get depressed for no reason at all ... come back sunshine :-(
SAD is a pthetic attempt by lazy people to stay in bed all winter.

Get a life and get on with it!
How right you are, all we need now is for it to go dark early and im in December... I WANT SUMMER BACK...LOL
Yeah I think I have... Very moody today and down.

The weather is BAD and not a good outlook for the weeked...

Also its my birthday today. sigh
I too suffer from this, but buy a nice coloued plant or if you are well off book an autumn or winter break in the sun
One way of counter acting S.A.D. (winter sickness) is to make sure the hormones are in balance

This is the story of Ray Peat sussing out the problem in 1966 .. and the cure for it

http://uk.geocities.com/willim_walker@bt... my web page regarding hormone tests

1 do an on line hormone test http://www.johnleemd.com/store/resource_...

2 do an appropriate saliva test and obtain results
3 get results & discuss with a NPIS doctor or educate your GP/MD

Alternatively expose your skin to the good old British weather no matter how overcast it is it will do some good :-)
Your skin is waterproof :-))
Hi I personally don't suffer with it but my wife does and suffer is an understatement all this bad weather is driving her nuts we would normally go on a long holiday to make up for the rubbish weather but she has just had an operation so can not but she and myself sympathise with you
