Help help!?

Question:
Hey guys.i got a problem. My freind is a cutter and i want her to stop.Another freind told me and i really want her to seek help cuz she has been doing it for a while and stuff.

Answers:
Talk to her about why she cuts. Talk to her about getting help and if she doesn't want help then just be there for her. Let her know that you are there for her and that there are people that care about her. Explain to her how nothing is worth ending her life for.
If she is a student at the same school as you, go and see the counsellor. Ask your friend is she is seeing anyone for help. You have to decide if you want to support her, and to do that you need to understand why without judging her for it. You need to gently coax her to a counsellor for help if she is not seeing anyone. You definately should see someone for some advice on how best to help your friend. Do not tell her family - you will only make things worse for her and you might even push her to attempt suicide if you humiliate her that way.
A person who participates in self-mutilation (cutting behavior) is someone who needs immediate psychiatric intervention. If your friend will not or cannot seek help for herself, then you must go to her parents. Yes, it may cause her to attempt suicide, however, unintentional suicide may be the result of her continuing behavior. The reality is, you are not going to be able to help her. Only deep psychotherapy and medicines will be able to aid in the exploration of the reasons she is cutting herself and find a way to release those feelings in an appropriate and healthy way.
Tell her how important it is to go to school.Obviously she's cuting because she doesn't want to be there and is forced to.Try making schol fun for her!??Tell her to get involved in clubs or soemthing tell her Life is too hard to be slackin offf now and then live a much harder life later...Trust me! Not good! At all..She rather be a low life in the streets and not sacrifice 7 hours a day for good education. Many peopel odn't have this opportunity..that's sad!
the best thing you can do to help them is be there for them and also to tell someone. Tell a teacher, counselor, parent, or pastor. Someone who can help.
talk to her.
just show her how much it's bothering you, and if she really is your friend, she would stop.
just tell her how much her cutting is hurting you.

this worked for me with one of my friends.

if that doesn't work, talk to a counselor or something.

good luck, its not easy convincing people to stop cutting.
its like drugs to them.
