You mention that you have PTSD. One of the hallmarks of it is a "numbed out" state of mind where like you said - don't feel anything. This can happen when you are in a trigger situation, it is the mind's way of dealing with trauma. It is as though you are not connected to your emotions. One of the things that meds can do is dull the pain (not take it away but make it more manageable.
I hope that you have a supportive therapist or can discuss this with your doctor.
Take care and I wish you the best.
maybe the medicine. I dont know for sure.
i have the same problems but i stopped my medication because my doc says i am being good it is probubly the meds just ask your doc it might be nothing
Sometimes your body can become used to either a certain medication, or the current dose of this med. So, maybe you need new meds, or different dosages. Have you talked to your Dr about this? I would also def. bring up your lack of "feeling" anything. This isn't good. Obviously the ideal is to get where you are between the extremes of feeling bad and not feeling anything at all. Like I said, talk to your Dr. There are new meds out there all the time and there just may be something that works better than what you have.
Hi, it maybe the medication you are taking. Have you tried Cognitive Behavioural Therapy? CBT is proven to be really effective for OCD, PTSD, depression etc. It takes a bit of work, but it is super effective. You can speak to your doctor about taking a course or you can take a course for free online at: www.livinglifetothefull.com
I hope you feel better soon. Best of luck!
