I want to kow if anyone is or has been on Paxil?

If you're considering taking Paxil, know right from the beginning that different people have different reactions to all medications, especially anti-depressants. So, if this does not agree with you, don't be down on all anti-depressants. When it was recommended to me, I knew I was hypersensitive to meds, so I started on half a pill of the lowest prescribed dose and in less than two weeks later, I was having some adverse side effects (extreme agitation, jitteriness). I stopped it abruptly, which you are NOT supposed to do (no one told me that), and I swore I would never take another anti-depressant again. I have to also say that I have had people say to me that Paxil "saved their life"! So it still might be worth trying it. Everyone is so different and there are many anti-depressants to try. Your doctor may also prescribe an anti-anxiety med such as Xanax or Klonopin in case you get the severe agitation like I had. I wished I had some of that when I needed to take the edge off. It took me a couple of years to find the right anti-dep, but it was worth it because my quality of life is so much better!!
Good Luck.

yes, it did nothing for me.
a different anti-depressant worked wonders.
Yes, I was. It worked but I felt like a zombie most of the time.
I am on Paxil in combination with Wellbutrin and it is working for me.
Yes, it was horrible. It was prescribed for my panic disorder and made it 10x worse in my opinion. I had horrible tremors, my eyes bulged, and I would yawn every 2 minutes. Every time I yawned it also felt like my soul was coming through the top of my head. I'd never take that crap again.
I take Paxil. I love it. I've been on it a few years now after trying many different drugs that failed miserably. It's the best in my opinion. It takes a few weeks to get used to, but after that it's great,. I don't feel like a zombie, I don't feel anxious, or nervous, or depressed. But if you take it be careful, if you skip a few days you WILL feel an effect. It's really important you take it every single day. They suggest if you ever go off it to taper it off so the side effects won't be so extreme. That's the only negative thing about it.
I was on Paxil for a while and although it has been known to help others with anxiety, it did very little in treating my anxiety and depression. Eventually my psychiatrist switched me to Zoloft which helped a great deal with both.
Yes I was prescribed Paxil for my depression. Did not help, felt the same way taking it. Everyone is different though so you should give it a try and see if it works out for you. Good luck
