Effexor side effects?
Question:
Answers:
Yes, I did. The Effexor side-effects seemed to be getting worse until my psychiatrist finally took me off of it. It started to make me extremely tired all the time and I often felt like a zombie.
I suggest that you talk to your doctor about treatment options. It is also important to note that when coming off Effexor it must be slowly titrated as it can cause severe withdrawal effects and can make you feel as you have the flu. My psychiatrist was well aware of this and slowly decreased the Effexor and luckily I did not experience any side-effects.
i'm taking the same thing and i feel fine! but i have also been on many other prescriptions like it! and i dont have dry throat but excessive "spit" i guess you could say! just keep taking it and maybe it will level out! i'm actually fixing to move up to 150mg! hope it all works out! also, cymbalta is great! but i couldn't afford it anymore. its really expensive
I my self have been on this drug for sometime now and I have no side effects at all. Some of these drugs have ruined many lives because some people s systems cannot take this form of abuse. I have found that the drug Paxel works best for me ,as I have been on it for some time now.
Hi there. I am actually on Effexor myself (150) and I don't recall the fog nor a severe dry throat but with a lot of these antidepressants, I know you can have a dry mouth. I've had to drink a lot of water because of it, not so much because I was thirsty. It should pass.
Normally, you should receive some literature with your meds. If not, you can check it up on the internet. Side effects are common, but if you are worried, speak to your doctor. I'm not sure about the fog thing, so put your mind at rest by asking your doctor about it.
I used to have the same feeling at the beginning, but it went away after a while. This foggy feeling, it was like I wasn't quite self-aware.
No dry throat for me, though.
Most of our clients start at 37.5 and then tritrate up to 75mg po q day. A good website to learn about side effects is www.medlineplus.gov or the effexor website www.effexorxr.com. The first question I would ask is are you on the extended Release. Effexor XR?
