Is this right?

My sleeping patterns are shifted, I sleep when I get home from school, but my mom forces me awake. . .should she just leave me alone to get some rest or should I stay awake and drag myself awake unable to think straight so I can go back to normal sleeping patterns?

Its alright to sleep a while after school. May be just for half-a-hour to 1 hr. but not more than that.

kids & teens needs to sleep at least 8 hrs straight without a breaks.

If you feel very tired right from school. You may try to have shower immediately after school and have some energy drinks that might help...

Its Important to go back to normal sleeping habits, it will bring a change.
get her to wake you up at the normal time to wake up instead of whenever you do now, that should slowly fix that
well, if you aren't allowed to sleep after school go to bed early. try to get back to normal sleeping times.
I think if your body needs some rest when you get home from school then your mom needs to understand that and let you sleep. After one or two hours you are fresh enough to do whatever you need to do. If you have home-works to do then it is better not to sleep more than 2 hours.
Normal sleeping patterns are different from person to person. Some are OK with 6 hours, some need more. Some need naps during the day and nothing is wrong with it.
YES,i think u shud sleep when come back from school but not more than 1 hour.i can asure that 1 hour sleep for you wud b really refreshing and u can study well in the evening,ask your mom to wake u up after an hour or atleast 45 minutes.
let her know about the problems u face when u don t take rest.tell her that u will feel fresh when u wake up.

It depends,she should leave you alone if your getting your homework done. You really should get on a schedule. School is really important and your mom knows what is best for you. Please follow your moms rules as she is just trying to help you. If you are in school,you should be on a schedule. Try it for awhile and see how it works. I do have to say, if you are getting things done and you have good grades then I say she should leave you alone. Remember,mother knows best! My daughter just said if you get your homework done first then you have a right to sleep after that.I hope that helps!
I had the same issue off season of track, i would come home and feel so tired and just pass out everyday wake up for dinner eat nap and then later nop be aable to sleep.

but during season of track i would run right after school, and then going to work, i owuldent feel tired att all. if you keep yourself occupied and going then you will be fine.
