How do I get a good nights sleep, I seem to start thinking about everything as soon as I go to bed.?

as soon s I go to bed I start to think about things I should have finished at work or things that I need to complete.

Couple of recommendations:

First - keep a pen and paper by your bed - when those things come up, write them down, and then let them go.

Second - Try adding some melatonin to your routine - it's a natural hormone that will help your body know when to sleep.

Third- night time routine is key! Relax in bed a while before trying to go to sleep - then, turn off the lights - and try this relaxation routine - First - lie still - start thinking about your toes - relax your toes - then your heels, then your ankles - up your legs - then your knees - be sure every part of you is comfortable. To all the way up until you get to your forehead and scalp - And if you're still awake, start over again! (I never get past my knees)

yah, that happens with me too.
but i try to focus really hard on my music.
and for me, listenin to music at nite seems to get me to sleep.
but i dont know about you.
but you mite wanna try it.

A good exercise regimen is always a great remedy for sleepless nights. Work out in the morning, and by bedtime, you'll be ready to pass right out. Exercise releases the stress hormones in your body as well, so you'll sleep better.
you should jog for a half hour before bed. it relaxes your body and your mind and you will feel very calm afterwards and you will sleep better than ever, trust me ... I'll cut ya!!
i was in that stage for a long time. it kept me up all night. something that helped me was to make a list of what i needed to do that day and finish it ALL before bed. that way you have nothing to worry about. it worked for me. good luck. hopefully, you can get some decent shut eye.
i used to be like you ,,,, you are a worry too much person . you should ignore everything and live life easily.. nothing is worth it! and you feel this probably coz it is soo silent at nght with no light so bad thongs will start to come to your . i for example turn on my tv on volume 1 and put it sleep . so no bad things will come to mind
I do this exact same thing. I've gotten sleeping pills and xanax from my doctor. I'll be fine the whole day but then as soon as I sleep I starting thinking about anything and everything. Its horrible. Try a sleeping pill a few nights out of the week and maybe that'll help.
