Depressed, paranoid, bisexual, && seeing a therapist at thirteen...?

Question:
I first tried to kill myself when I was nine years old.
Since then, I've tried more than five times. Finally, I told my parents, and now I am seeing a therapist about every other week.
Still, I'm depressed. I cry every night, and hold grudges. I hate my family, my friends, and myself. Yet, I'm comfortable with myself as an all-around person. My looks, and my feelings.
Lately, I believe I may be suffering from slight paranoia. I see and hear things and people that no one else does. People talking about me, or laughing at me, even when I'm alone. They taunt me at night, and give me nightmares.
& also, lately, I've discovered I'm bisexual. I know, everyone may say I'm just confused because of hormones and such, but I'm not, I can just tell... I've believed I am since last year.
So what should I do? Should I tell my therapist about my paranoia, and my sexuality? Should I come out to my parents or friends? I don't think they'd kick me out or anything. Just say "it's a stage"

Answers:
You should def. talk to your therapist. I don't know if this will help, but just remember that there is always someone worst off than you. I know its easier said than done, but after a drastic change happens to you, you come to realize that its better to just be optimistic. I use to live in Louisiana until Hurricane Katrina, now I live across in the United States with a whole group of different people, and I use to think I had it bad until I realized that my cousin had been to three different high schools in all different states for the same reason along with many other problems. Everyone has it bad and some worse than others, but you just have to get over it and move on, I know its easier said than done, but try. Good Luck!
Tell your therapist. The symptoms you describe will not make it any easier for you to move forward in your therapy and may spiral down into a dangerous state of mind. it may be that some hospitalization is needed or better supervision from the therapist
Sweetie you really need to see a psychiatrist for a full work-up. It's great that you are getting therapy and recognize some of the things that are happening to you.

Try to keep a "mood" diary every day. Some things could be getting screwed up with your menstral cycle. You could be Bipolar or have another mood disorder.

Hang in there!! I've been where you are at and it will get better. It could take a long time, won't lie to you about that, but at least you aren't suffering in silence.
Most humans are born bisexual, but social pressures often change that. Many females experiment, when younger, but wait until you leave home, by then you will be better placed to know, for sure, and cope. You may have schizophrenia, so mention those things to your therapist, or print and take this along. See suicidal thoughts, nightmares (may improve with schizophrenia medication), depression, and schizophrenia, at http://www.ezy-build.net. (.net.nz~shaneris) on pages 5, 3, 2, and 7. Learn to forgive, or it will be an obstacle on the path to wellness (ask therapist). Try to not hate anyone, especially yourself: reduce it to: "dislike", and in your own case, use it as motivation to change into someone you CAN like. See the self esteem sites, on page 2.
sounds like a normal teen to me
I've been through this stage also, I consulted a pscyhologist, took anti-depressant drugs and all of these didn't work out well for me... though it gave a temporary relief, I think it is still best to work with yourself? Be the doctor, help yourself! I was able to evercome my depression by involving myself in social activities... Isolating yourself would only aggravate your mental condition. Try to assess your emotions, the reasons of ur melancholic state and when you are able to conceive all the factors... Open up to your family... sometimes the inability to express what we feel often results to depression, but when we learn to talk things out everything will be fine. Be a busy person, but be sure to gain improvement on the task you want to engage with. Try yoga(or learn to meditate), go to the gym, eat healthy foods, and I swear this can improve your mental health. Surround yourself with positive people... and lastly it is very important to be spiritually healthy... Always pray...I used to talk to Jesus when I don't feel good about myself and having a close relationship with him made me feel better. Have a strong faith my dear. you'll be fine soon. remember "rough is only mental" . Goodluck!=)
I had you beat by a year, I tried to kill myself for the first time at age 8, I was diagnosed with depression at age nine and started therapy at that time. If you're hearing voices and they are telling you to do things that might hurt you or some one else you should definitely tell someone. As for your sexuality if you think that you'll be comfortable telling your family than go a head but be prepared for what you think their reaction will be. Yes I would tell my therapist because these are very important issues that are affecting your life. I hope that you're comfortable with them and feel that you can tell them anything that's important to you. They can only help you if you let them know what's going on with you everything. They might put you on medication to see if that helps with the depression and the anxiety. You might also want to see if you can see your therapist more than you are right now that might help.
