How can I stop my addiction to the computer?

Question:
i just got glasses and i dont want to wear them all the time so i want to stop my addiction!

Answers:
Well first you have to figure out what it is that keeps you coming back to the computer. Once you've figured that out, tell yourself that you're setting a time limit, and a certain amount of times you can go on the computer each day. Try to think of new hobbies that you can fill your day with that otherwise would have been spend online. [Maybe something besides television.] If that doesn't work, just ban yourself from the computer for a week. You'll probably go nuts, but by the time you can go back on it you will see just how much time you may have been wasting. And you'll actually NOT want to go on so much. Just an idea.
Take your glasses off and then you won't be able to see the computer so you won't want to use it. No seriously, find something else interesting to do. Only let yourself use computer so many hrs a day (ONLY).
The cause of stress is not the computer.

The computer is an inanimate object.

How you think and feel about the computer is causing you stress.

You have connected in your mind how you feel frustrated with what you are saying to yourself about the computer.

Here's a way that may help you.

Set yourself a schedule
.
Go do something else that you need to do.

Only when you have done that, then reward yourself with one hour of computer time.

As soon as you use up the hour, go do something else again, and again only reward yourself when you have it done.

Repeat this over and over, until you are in control of how you feel.
