I have worked with hospice patients for many years. I can tell you that generally the persons' greatest fear is of dying alone. That is why hospice tries to provide volunteers to help caregivers provide companionship. Spend as much time as you can with her.let her talk to you when she feels like it and she may share some very insightful thoughts about what it is to prepare for imminent death.
actually, they are more control of the situation than the family are usually..
With two weeks to live, she might be in a coma.
Hopefully she is at peace with herself, and doesn't think too heavy about anything.
Ask the workers and volunteers. They have the true perspective on the situation.
She knows whats is going on, and a goodbyee stage follows up, so family and friends should be there for couple of minutes to say goodbye and she will appreciate that. It is hard to say goodbye but there is a cycle that must be close down.
