use your past as a spring board and not an anchor.
can you not use the scars to show others that their is a path through the darkness?
i have answered you previously.i think you might have posted it twice. good luck.
Bio oil, from the chemist. or vitamin e oil capsules - prick the capsules and apply the oil to your skin. mederma - i think you can get this in chemists, if not you have to order it online. apparently cocoa butter is good. not sure other than that, as i haven't used these things, i just been told this or seen it elsewhere on the site.
Congrats on stopping self harming! and good luck in recovering completely! Keep up the strength!
Stay strong, stay safe.
If you've in the UK, then contact the Red Cross and ask them about the camoflage cream they have.
try mederma, you can find it at like walmart.. its like $20 for 1 oz. but i think it works really well.
You could use mederma, or vitamin e cream. Both work for reducing the appearance of scars. I'm 15 and have self harmed too. It's good to know there are to her people out there.
Vitamin e oil or cream or lotion (as long as it's a healthy does of vitamin e) can help with stretch marks, and supposedly with other scars too. Rub it in every day - it helps the skin to heal itself so can help to get rid of scars but works best on newish scars.
Good luck :)
Bio-oil is fantastic stuff! I am a self harmer and have some fairly impressive scars. Bio-oil is pretty damn amazing but is not a miracle worker! It fades them a whole lot but you have to be dedicated and use it 2 or 3 times a day. But, if you really want your scars to fade then what's a few minutes out of your day for applying the oil?!
It's not the cheapest thing around, but every now and again it can be found on offer in Boots, Superdrug etc.
It may be possible to get it on prescription via your GP, though I guess it'd depend on the severity of your scars, the kindness of your GP etc.
Good luck, and I'm sorry you ever had to go through this cr*p. Look after yourself x
