ok i was raped not to long ago and i keep having nightmares about it.. and it scars me to death that i dont wanna sleep and then on top of that i also keep dreaming of my friend who died 4 months ago i keep dreaming that i go outside and his dead mangled up body id haning from a tree please help me!!

Answers:
didnt know about the friend part, but hunny, know this, you do have control, if you dont want ti, you have the power to do so, if you dont want someone to touch you, then they cant, and if they do, then you can stop them with slight force (like grabing their wrist and moving their hand away from you), you are more powerful in your dreams than anything it can throw at you, like Neo on "Enter the Matrix", dreams are like the Matrix, and sleeping is like "jacking in".

when we sleep, we can float, fly, make fireballs, make mountians, make oceans, make tornadoes, hurricanes, anything we want, and if we can do all of that, imagine what we can do to thoughts of rape, yes, they will still hurt to look at, but remember my story about angry crying, they dont expect you to punch them when you are crying so hard you cant see.

its the same thing if you replace the punch with a thong made out of electrified fire that feels like silk to you but liquid nitrogen to them (it can freeze anything almost instantly, even a rose).

can you picture yourself wearing a thong made out of electrified fire? now can you picture yourself wearing it while being very comfy? now try to picture me snuggeling with you while you wear it, thats exactly what you gotta do in the dream to make that happen, its not to hard to picture something is it? well then it should be a piece of cake in the dream.
You should try to see a psychiatrist ..
in all seriousness i think you may want to consider a trip to the dr. phil show. he can solve all your problems!
talk to a therapist
You do have the power to control your dreams. It took me a few years of practice before I could do it, but you should know that you do have that ability.

See your doctor, maybe he can give you a light sleeping pill that you will go into a deeper sleep.

You should see a specialist to talk about what happened. In time, all things will heal, but you have to LET it.
you should go see a therapist to help with this. If you reported the rape, the officers should have given you a number to call to get help[many times rape counselors work with the depts in larger areas.]. Your sleeping mind is trying to make sense of the attack and violation..writing down bad dreams and then destroying it later helps, its a psychological aid..try doing that. but do please seek help from a professional.
you should seek counseling, one that deals with the issues of rape. I am very sorry that you had to experience such a horrific time that you did. God bless you and I hope you find some inner peace
First of all, I'm really sorry you had to go through those experiences. But you seem to have the courage to keep living life and not let it hold you back. The bad dreams are because you haven't fully dealt with all that's happened. Find a good therapist - if you have a good relationship with your minister, that's a good place to start - and get some counseling to help you get through the emotional pain you're still dealing with. Once you start coming to terms and putting all those bad things in perspective, the dreams should lessen.

I wish you well!
you need to talk to a doctor or somebody who you really trust . Just tell them to listen to what you have to say and tell them not to respond to anything untill everthing is off your chest
This sounds as if you are dealing with a syndrome called, RTS(Rape Trauma Syndrome). Rape is a crime, quite terrible in nature that inflicts emotional damage on the one being raped and those around that person, what is important, is that you talk to someone such as a counselor, or join a support group, these types of treatment can help you feel better, and let you move on slowly past your traumatizing event. Also, try and keep in close contact with your friends and family, and other people in your networks, and look for support from them.

Good Luck.
good luck
First of all, I'm really sorry about your experiences.
Second, it sounds like you're really stressed. Maybe it would help if you took a warm bath before bed, and did something relaxing before you went to sleep (i.e., yoga, reading a favorite book, etc.) It would at least be better than going to bed every night thinking, "Oh god! Oh no! What if I have more nightmares?!"
Third, learn to seperate dreams from reality. It sounds silly, but nightmares like that can feel like it's really happening. Wake up and assure yourself that you didn't just get raped and your friend's body isn't hanging from a tree. It might help comfort you.
Fourth, it'll help if you see a therapist, particularly one who specializes in coping after traumatic events.
Good luck!
you should see a therapist.Nightmares are mostly caused by inner stress by problems that you've had,or still have.there's nothing wrong with you mentally, but a therapist can help you overcome things like your rape and the death of your friend.
I wish you luck!
don't let your dreams scare you, there not real, and nothing in them can harm you. maybe you should learn lucid dreaming that could help, if you want to learn lucid dreaming you should join www.dreamviews.com

maybe you should think about something you want to dream about at night until you fall asleep.
