if you go on prozac, i would stop taking ephedrine! unless a DR says its ok. if you take prozac, you shouldnt need the ephedrine, it will pep you up. cause you will feel better
It may counter affect but should not harm you. Check with your Psychiatrist. If you are taking ephedrine for weight loss their may be issues with the Prozac as it tends to have a weight gain side effect.
Make sure that the prescribing physician knows about the ephedrine. Just because it's available "over the counter" doesn't mean that it's completely safe. A lot of stimulant products lose their effectiveness after a few weeks. your body gets used to it being there. When you stop taking it, you fall even further down. You'll probably feel really depressed for a few days, maybe even a couple of weeks. The best thing you can do is talk to your doctor.
Ephedrine's indications are few... Maybe you can take it for bronchial spasms for some reasons ...but rarely.. Ephedrine effects in visceral organs and also central nervous system(brain, brain stem and spinal cord) So another central effective drug, fluoxetine must not be used together... But it is a clinical decision that for some rare reasons, ephedrine can be used for a short time as an additive drug for treatment of depression. and again very hard clinical condition is necessary and it is a clinician decision... Hospitalization may be advisable... Shortly it is not a rational approach and i think you have to leave that addiction.. ephedrine...
