Eating more makes you fat. Whether or not the medication increases your appetite, that's a whole other ball game. If you notice that your appetite is increasing, you need to monitor your caloric intake to adjust for this.
i take Paxil also i felt it was causing me to have more of a appetite so my doctor put me on Topamax it curves your eating my depression comes from several things thats one of them and i have been taking depression meds awhile
It may do that but it sounds like you have gained all that you are going to.You have probably leveled out,try Paxil and see how things go.
I have had the same problem with Synthroid and diabetes meds.
It is just a hazard associated with medication.The paradox is that you do not know how it will affect your body until you use it.
Absolutely Paxil makes you gain weight. Talk to your psychopharmocologist or psychiatrist and make sure that you tell them if you have weight gain!! I switched to Prozac and have no weight gain side effect - but everyone is different.
Paxil makes most people gain weight, and has other side effects.
Everything but the weight gain and loss of libido usually goes away within a couple of weeks. Paxil is notorious for having the worst impact on your libido of all SSRIs.
I've been taking paxil for about 7 years and i'm known as a "twig" soo..i guess it depends on each person?? Honestly though...the benefits outweigh weight gain..
I gained 8lbs. on Lexipro! I changed to Paxil and am actually losing, believe it or not. Something about the Lexipro kept me hungry for carbs and sugar! Try the Paxil, ok?
