Do I have a good chance for Disability Benefits?

Question:
I have Bipolar Disorder, and have been discharged from my last three jobs. I can't concentrate at work, and get easily distracted, frustrated, and emotional. Thoughts constantly run through my mind, distracting me every waking moment of my life.

I am going to apply for SSI Disability, and wondering do I have a good shot?

Only serious answer please.

Answers:
It really depends...

Just because you have been fired, does not mean you will get benefits. A doctors statement will be required and then their doctor will evaluate you.Have you been hospitalized? Are you on medication?

People with Bipolar do get benefits, but usually the cases are severe.
Quit trying to git free ride. Werk 4 ur livin like everone else do.
No, not likely
Physical is fairly easy to prove
mental is very hard to prove medically
From what I understand, it is fairly hard to get on disability for Bipolar. I have been told unless you have been hospitalized a MINIMUM of 3 times, you don't stand much of a chance. Sometimes it just isn't worth it.
Ya, I'm sure you have medical grounds for it. Do you take meds. Are they the right meds? If you are on em, they're definitely not the right ones for you. Go ahead and apply for SSI, and at the same time go back to the doctor, a different one if you need to. Some docs are so pompous they hate giving meds they find are the wrong ones and hate to admit it! I have a mood disorder and at one time I thought I would just become homebound. I sure did feel like I wanted to die! But after a couple docs and variety of different meds, I'm a happy person. Please don't let the Bipolar own who you are. It's like my disorder or my husband's diabetes. Keep chuggin' along like the little engine that could. You can get over that mountain!!!!
I know alot of bi polars like myself I was told u had to be hospitalized for it 3x in the same year, & be under a drs care @ least a yr & on meds & That doesnt guarantee it for you then you have to go thru their system after you have prooved All the above so to proof it it will take @ least 2yrs if you have ALL the above already .~ Ive dealt w/ ssi for an obvious alzheimers w/ all the medical records & it took 2 1/2 yrs
So to answer your question I dont think you you have a good chance
