I totally know where you are coming from, dont worry you are not alone. I too cant move on my days off 2day is my day off and so far i have made it o n here that is it. Previously on days off i wouldnt leave the house and when people came in i would remove myself from the room.
I suffer from depression altho i thought i could never suffer from it...however it affects many people in many ways. I am now eventually dealing with it.
My advice to you is seek help from you gp but it does sound like depression.
Going back to work tommorrow will be really difficult for you as it takes so much energy and effort however you are stronger than you think and you will make it!
well, im not a psycologist, but it does seem like one of the signs of depression or ME.
you should quickly head of to your GP and discuss this matter further so he can get you treated as soon as possible.
It could be...you should set yourself a goal, but break it up in to little goals.
Girl email me ! Does not sound silly - it is Depression - idk if u suffer from anxiety ...
Do a little at a time ... dont overwhel urself with 2 much b/c it will b 2 much n u wont do it -- then u will feel bad -- there is the circle or cycle.
Yea sounds a bit likley, I have been in the situation a few times, maybe a visit to the docs, he will to a test a test on you
yes it is a sign of depression, having it myself i know wot it feels like but i have to get up with my kids, and after the day is over i tend to go to bed asap the kids hate it and people dont understand. I find the summer days are a good reason to just go out for a walk into town and youl end up feeling better for it try and force yourself and make a arrangement with someone so you have to stick to it just to get out of the house. Hope you feel better soon hun x
You are most definitely depressed and need to see someone about it. Are you on meds? Has something happened recently that has thrown you deeper into depression?
I once had an episode where I laid in bed for 8 hours with my eyes open and DIDN'T MOVE! The psychiatrist said that my brain had had enough and was trying to deal with things, so it shut everything else down. It's been several years since that happened. But the urge to lay in bed when not working is something I totally understand. Are you journaling?
I think you've got to get on some medication if you're not already. If you are on meds, you need to see the doctor for a change (either an increase in what you're taking, or a complete change). I also think getting into some kind of counseling will help! :)
This site has a good community for depression:

There are some really good people there if you need someone to talk to right away. :)
Good luck! :)
You are normal so now get your butt out of bed and get to work. Now having said that yes it seems to me you are possibly depressed, I had to fight those feelings for a long time as well.
There is help you know, all you need to do is want it.
GET UP!!!
If you like the band The Cure. You need to listen to the song. Doing the unstuck, over and over. If music moves you like it moves me, you will get up.
no its just a sign of being lazy
Yes, it looks like you are going through depression. And lying in bed when you' re off work just causes the depression. But TRY to move, try to do something you like. I can relate, because sometimes i just want to lay on my bed and not move. Maybe hang out with some free friends and go watch a movie when you have a break from work. Think of it as a reward for working. So you're more motivated. (just a little advice)
Sounds like something in your life is not balanced. Meaning that perhaps you are feeling left out of the loop by your friends, family members or perhaps a boyfriend. You really need to learn how to stand on your own two feet, and take each day one day at a time.
Try driving to a beach or to a lake and just walking around for awhile, or try getting involved in some of the church events, like baking cookies, brownies whatever the church will need to sell in order to raise money for the church.
Get involved in things, anything, try to associate with other people, this might help to get you out of this very dangerous mood that you are currently in, young lady.
Perhaps you need to speak to a professional about what is bothering you, be open and honest with them as they are being paid to try and help you turn your life around, and it does help.
Try this: Everyday, after you get off of work, instead of going back home right away, try going for a country drive for a couple of hours, just drive whereever you want to, just make sure its not in a dangerous area where you could be hurt, or taken advantage of. As your driving along, think of pleasant things that you see, maybe if you get to a park or some other area that is peaceful looking, get out of the vehicle and take a short walk, during the day light hours of course, try to relax, enjoy being alive, smell the fresh air, listen to the birds chirping in the trees, smell a few flowers, but relax, and when you feel better, get back into your vehicle and drive on home. Play some music on the radio, something cheerful sounding, something with a steady beat, sing along with a song, and try doing this everyday, each day extending your time outside in the fresh air a little longer than the day before.
I hope this does help ou to overcome these feelings of being depressed, young lady, you sound like you have a lot under the cap and it really sounds like your just bored, so change it and do something that will make it better for you, Okay?
deffinatley! and its the same exact thing that happening to me. get help. feel better soon!
I had the same problem and I contact my nextdoor neighbour who'se a sychologist...I used to sit in bed when I was free and do nothing but just keep thinking about anything.,..Nothing to do is a reason, depression is also a reason for that ,,,,,feeling always bored is also a reason for that....The doc gave me some aspirines and He told to spend sometime having fun and it raelly worked.

I have anxiety and depression and having been trying an alternative therapy called Emotional Freedom Technique and it has really worked for me and helped me a lot. Since using it I have been feeling a lot better. It's very good at getting rid of all kinds of negative emotions and dealing with all kinds of issues quickly. It does sound bizarre but does work. Might be something that can help you. These are some links about it.
