What tryciclic works good for pain and also may aid in my other meds for OCD?


Question:
I take Celexa for depression and to help with OCD, I also take 100 mg of seroquel for sleep every night.

now I need somthing for pain in my right sholder blade. I heard that tricyclic antidepressants work for certine kinds of pain and I know that my pain fits the catagory. what should I go with out of the list below.

Amnatriptyline
Doxepin
Nortriptyline
Trazodone

I take Cymbalta for fibromyalgia pain. (To the other answerer: Seroquel can be used for sleep).

Seroquel is not for sleep. Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic.

Low doses of most any tricyclic or tetracyclic antidepressant (any of those that you mentioned) may (or may not) be helpful in treating your pain.
Out of your list i would choose none. Go with another tricyclic called clomipramine (anafranil). Ask your doctor about it because it is fantastic for ocd. It sorted me out so well and it can also be used for pain too.
But best to always talk to your doctor about your own treatment
