A few Qs on Hypnoanalysis?

Question:
I have been undergoing hypnoanalysis for a while now, I dont seem to be having much luck infact my symptoms have got worce. (anxiety and depression), the repressed memory that came up has completely traumatised me and now my hypnoanalyist is on holiday and had to miss a week session.
Have you had hypnoanalysis? Is this normal? Should I give up and go and have some regular hypnotherapy?

Answers:
Images and feelings that arise during hypnosis-like sessions are extraordinarily subject to being "false memories". Interpreting every image that arises during hypnosis sessions as reflective of reality is a dangerous business. They can seem very very real, and at the same time, be very, very false. Merely by virtue of being relatively easily hynotizable, you are subject to being overly suggestable. Hopefully, you have not been traumatized for nothing. Am I saying that the memory that arose is definitely false? No. Am I saying that it is POSSIBLE that it is false? Absolutely.
