I really believe that the weather has an effect on our moods. It certainly does with me. I live in Australia and its winter here in freezing Melbourne. If its a frosty morning and the sun comes out and we have a few hours of blue sky then I'm fine.
If it is a gloomy, cloudy cold day I can hardly get myself to function and feel so down. Even getting depressed about about things that don't really matter.
The problem is we have longer Winters and Autumn seasons than our Spring and Summer seasons.
I'm opposite to you as I don't care how hot it gets,I love it! But put me in the middle of Winter and its doom and gloom 24/7.
The weather here is also completely unpredictable.
We can have all four seasons in just one day.
So I guess that even people a long way from Phoenix get the weather blues.
Texas boy here. I know how you feel.
My advice? Cowboy up.
My advice for you? Go into your air conditioned house, sit down and cry. You'll get over it.
I live near and enjoy having weather that I can enjoy the pool. My daughter lives in Houston and they've had 48 days of rain! I'll take the nice hot days anytime!
It is true that we do better in nice weather and when it is too cold is a bit of a problem but too hot is impossible. I spend winters in Missouri and I go to Canada for the summer . It never gets over eighty degrees here. I still have to consider the other factors in depression. I avoid expectations that lead to failure and I try to keep finding the people that make me feel good again. They are all like me, loners. I love to find the bi polars of life . They are good people. Last Christmas I went to Corpus Christi too. It was so nice. See you on the beaches!
That's how I am except I am the opposite during the winter months I am depressed and sad, but as soon as march rolls around spring gets close I get so happy for no reason it's like a feel so care free. Then when winter gets close it's like i come down. By the way I'm from NORTH CAROLINA!
Well Florida has a humid heat making 90 degrees feel like 100 so I know how you feel. It's so hot, you can't do anything outside unless you want to get a heat stroke.
