In your city or near-by do you have a state funded Mental Health Center of any kind? I know here in Tx we have MHMR which is a Mental Health Mental Retardation Center or we also have a Behaviorial Health facility associated with one of our local hospitals. My understanding of these type facilities is that they are not allowed (by law) to turn away ANYBODY who comes to them for help whether the person has insurance or not.
Maybe you could check into something like that in your state.
You're screwed... sorry. It's a money driven society... not a compassion dirven one. If you do find a place, without insurance, if they accept people w/o insurance, it will be a hole. Good Luck!

You could always go to the emergency room and have a doctor check you out there and get some suggestions on where you can go to detox with no insurance.
I was in detox in the psyche ward of a hospital earlier this year and there was NO WAY that all the people I was in there with had insurance.

get in touch with your local AA. They will know of resources that might be able to get you into rehab. All rehab hospitals have a certain number of beds that are for indigent patients. The Salvation Army and Goodwill is another resource. You also might try your county/state mental health agency
